Josh Foote and Grace Welton have been selected to have the honor of being members of the 2008 All State Choir!   Only 120 students from Michigan are chosen and this is the first time TK students have been selected.  Josh and Grace have participated in a nine month adjudication process that will take them to Western Michigan University May 8-10.  On May 10, they will perform at Miller Auditorium with other outstanding musicians in choir, band, and orchestra.  Congratulations Josh and Grace on this accomplishment!

On Saturday February 2, TKHS hosted the Science Olympiad Invitational.  The high school team placed 13^th overall out of 24 teams (350+ students) that competed.  Dan Lemon, Chris Smith, Cailly Howell, Brittney Benjamin, Matt Davidson, Tyler Rafferty and Jennifer Berryman all had individual successes as well.  Congratulations team!!

TKHS would like to congratulate Dominic Bierenga and Olivia Nieder for receiving 1^st Division ratings at the District Solo Ensemble.  Both Dominic and Olivia will be performing at the State Solo Ensemble on March 15 at Portage Northern.  Dominic had his composition selected to be performed at the Michigan Music Conference that was held on January 26.  This is the second year in a row that Dominic has received this honor.
