Thornapple Kellogg High School senior Brittney Benjamin was awarded the top honor in an essay contest from the Economics Club of Grand Rapids.  The topic of the contest was green technology.  Brittney’s essay focused on the types of policy decisions that inspire innovation and the countries that are leading the green revolution.  She received her award on Monday, April 21 at the Economics Club luncheon with the other 12 nominees and several Michigan economic leaders and business owners.  TKHS was also awarded $1500 for Brittney’s essay for use in our Economic curriculum.  Well done Brittney!
